The COST Action ‘Connecting Landscape Architecture Archives to enhance European landscape practice, research and education (ConnectLAA)’ will, for the first time, bring together information on the content of European Landscape Architecture Archives and make it available worldwide on a digital platform.

Landscape architecture archives are true treasure chests: they hold valuable insights that deepen our understanding of the history of designed landscapes and open up new perspectives. What often happens only on a national level, we are taking across Europe. By connecting archives from different countries, we create a unique and broader access to knowledge that transcends borders.

Our vision is to make the history of European landscape architecture visible, highlighting not only its aesthetic qualities, but also its social, ecological, and cultural dimensions.
